http://www.marketwatch.com/News/Story/apple-calls-music-firms-drop Steve Jobs writes an open letter to the music business. He is making a strong case for removing DRM. This places Apple on the side of open standards. As the market leader, Apple is in a good position to make a stand.

Well, it looks like the concept of the Zune is going to need some work. I explained the wireless sharing feature to some people that were in line for the new playstation last night, and their overall response was - "lame!"

The iPod is delivered to Bill Gates, and Wired gets the story. Great article about a great product introduction.

This is a great finder replacement. I really appreciate the ability for FileBrowser to show thumbnails of all of the documents that are on a hard drive. This is how a file system would look if users could program their own interfaces.

iPod and iTV are being announced, while Microsoft is working around the clock to lock down the foundational building blocks of their DRM. What is the Zune promise again?

This is an example of what Core Animation is going to do for apple. As you look for items, the system will be able to interact using quartz animation features. This is a look that far surpasses anything vista has to offer.

Best of both worlds indeed. Windows runs on Mac. The author simply uses windows to run Outlook. one application to save an entire operating system. Too bad Mail is looking better every day.

Microsoft is exploiting users with all their upgrades and software "updates." Apple has a simple approach to computing that proves that their process is better than working with a monopoly.

Apple has all the right products in all the right markets. Everybody that I have shown an Apple product to in the last few weeks has shown significant interest. People are becoming more and more aware of the "vaporware" product offerings of the competition.

Apple runs windows. Any windows application can run on a macintosh without emulation. Now that the apple processor is intel, and the operating system is open source, Windows applications have no choice but to run on apple hardware.

Apple does the web. iWeb is a part of .mac that allows anyone to create amazing web pages that seem as professional as anything that apple has ever designed. Apple computers have always been the designers choice.

Apple's web site does collaboration.  Every one of the pages on .mac allows for group collaboration. Anyone can create a group web page that allows the members to keep up to date with calendars and information about the group.

So, if anyone has ever thought that mac is a good idea, here is one more reason why. .mac is an amazing web creation tool that is now rumored to be offered free of charge to the world.
